Following an official investment promotion and field research itinerary across Spain, Finland, and Sweden, a high-level delegation from Phu Tho Province, led by Deputy Party Secretary Bui Huy Vinh, paid an official working visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Finland. The delegation included senior executives from the Provincial People’s Committee, members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and directors of line departments.
Greeting the delegation were Ms. Nguyen Dieu Linh, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Vietnamese Embassy in Finland and First Secretary in charge of Political and Bilateral Relations, alongside embassy staff.

During the executive session, Deputy Party Secretary Bui Huy Vinh delivered a comprehensive summary of the province’s recent macro-socioeconomic performance and foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction milestones. He emphasized that Phu Tho is aggressively mobilizing synchronous solutions to anchor its strategic target of sustained, double-digit economic growth through 2030. The province has positioned industrial development as its primary economic engine, prioritizing projects rooted in high-tech manufacturing, green industries, logistics, commercial infrastructure, digital transformation, and innovation.
The Deputy Party Secretary also introduced the province’s newly consolidated two-tier local governance model, highlighting its initial operational successes and the socioeconomic master plan for the 2026 - 2030 tenure and beyond. On behalf of the provincial leadership, he formally requested the Chargé d'Affaires to actively present and connect high-profile European investors to explore trade missions and initiate project matching in Phu Tho in the near future.

Briefing the delegation, Chargé d'Affaires Nguyen Dieu Linh affirmed that Finland places immense value on Vietnam’s geopolitical standing and economic vitality, identifying it as a bright spot in Southeast Asia. Notably, Vietnam is designated by Finland as one of four priority nations for high-quality human capital recruitment and one of its four strategic markets in Asia, alongside Japan, South Korea, and China. She noted that the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate the deployment of Vietnamese experts, skilled professionals, and seasonal workers to Finland.

Building on this momentum, the Phu Tho delegates engaged in deep discussions regarding highly potential corridors for bilateral cooperation. The talks centered on human resource development, the export of high-skilled labor, green transition initiatives, regional master planning, and infrastructure development. The delegation also promoted Phu Tho’s unique cultural heritage assets, eco-tourism networks, and premium wellness resort facilities to the Finnish corporate community and citizens.
Expressing his gratitude for the strategic insights shared by the embassy, Deputy Party Secretary Bui Huy Vinh officially designated the Investment Promotion and Enterprise Support Center as the primary institutional liaison point. This agency will maintain regular coordination with the embassy to exchange market intelligence, facilitate partner matching, and drive concrete cooperative frameworks moving forward.
